Description
In this session, participants will learn how to strategically connect the National School Library Standards to a school’s or school district’s targeted goals and instructional strategies. Participants will gain an overview of Guided Inquiry Design as a professional learning strategy and complete the first steps in planning their own engaging and effective process that develops high impact tools supporting alignment of the National School Library Standards with local instructional priorities.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the National School Library Standards and how they can be leveraged to meet school and school district goals.
- Examine school or district priorities and identify intersections with the National School Library Standards.
- Understand how to apply an inquiry process and blended learning as a structure for facilitating meaningful professional learning.
