Librarians from three different high schools, committed to making their school libraries a safe space for all learners, do so by very different methods showing there are many ways to accomplish this task. Learning Objectives:
  • Learners will be able to implement new programming ideas to make their libraries a “safe space.”
  • Learners will be able to implement new makerspace and design ideas to make students feel that the library is a “safe space.”
  • Learners will be able to select books that make the feel included, valued and safe.
