Description

Hear from AASL’s 2018 National School Library of the Year and Fairfax County School District’s Coordinator of Library Information Services as we investigate library planning. Taking time to intentionally plan for your library or school district improves your practice, helps communicate your goals and documents your achievements. This session will help you:Consider value of planning; Better understand strategic and advocacy planning; Provide a roadmap for planning; and, Start planning.

Learning Objectives:
  • Participants will understand the benefits of strategic & advocacy planning for the library.
  • Investigate a shared foundation engage, & evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their library.
  • Identify a concern of school administration & create a an advocacy goal that will support the needs of the school administration.
