Nov 16, 2013 12:00am

Description

School librarians explore how they can rise to the challenge of teaching AASL learning standards through CCSS curricula. In focus groups participants analyze an exemplary ELA lesson to identify common ground for coteaching that integrates critical reading and critical thinking. School librarians can re-conceptualize their work as managers of facility, collection, and staffing by interviewing an ELA teacher/presenter to understand how she envisions a school library that supports her 21st-century teaching.
