Description
School librarians are bolstered by Common Belief 4 in the AASL Standards: “Reading is the core of personal and academic competency” (AASL 2018, 13), and the belief that as school librarians we can help students achieve not only competence, but also joy through the wondrous act of reading. This issue of Knowledge Quest explores how to strengthen your school’s reading culture via multiple angles, from school library collections to student engagement to reading instruction to school librarian preparation.
