Description

Feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the great apps out there and not sure where to start? Or, maybe you are looking for a few apps to add to your repertoire/toolkit for this school year? Two members of the 2017 AASL Best Apps committee are giving an overview tour of the apps recognized as the 2017 Best Apps for Teaching and Learning. Committee members Joyce Valenza and Deb Logan will highlight their personal favorites and share ideas for using these apps in your practice. Participants will be able to contribute their ideas on using apps to this “app chat” as well. The session will also include information on how the committee works and app trends and issues!

Participants will:

  1. Discover high quality apps to support teaching and learning.
  2. Collaboratively consider strategies for integrating selected apps in the school program and “walk away” with ideas on how featured apps might be used/”applied.”
  3. Learn about the work of the Best Apps for Teaching and Learning Committee and how to contribute to next year’s list.
