AASL Town Hall: Back to School with Award Winning Collaboration

Credits: None available.

Head back to school with new ideas after listening to a lively discussion about collaborating with our education colleagues. AASL President, Kathy Lester, and AASL Award winning panelists kick-off the Town Hall discussion.

Panelists include:

Michael Giller, Director of Library Services at South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities and the 2022 AASL Collaborative School Library Award winner, shares his project “Bulls on Parade - Banned Books Week Poster Design.”

Sarah Sansbury, Teacher Librarian at Dunwoody Elementary School in Georgia and the 2022 AASL Roald Dahl Miss Honey Social Justice Award winner, shares her project “Asian American History IS American History.”

With the current national environment around book challenges and teaching accurate history, these projects are timely and provide excellent examples of working with our colleagues and our students.

Thanks for recording this session, sorry I missed it! Was with a bus of students from the Upward Bound Program visiting colleges, lol. Look forward to exciting things with AASL! Harry Brake - Delaware Association of School Libraries - Delaware
