Description
As demonstrated by the John Lewis's March series, nonfiction graphic novels can tell powerful stories. In this session we will explore graphic novel conventions, examine how nonfiction graphic novels can support literacy strategies, and discuss visual literacy. Finally we will explore how students can use comic strip maker apps to explore and understand primary sources.
