Description

George Santayana said "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it". This session is designed to help students learn from history and recognize the mistakes of the past. Participants will be introduced to a structured discussion technique for helping students analyze and interpret past events by examining multiple primary sources and to draw connections to current issues. Lesson plans, analysis templates, online resources and possible student inquiry projects will be provided.
