Explore ways to leverage student-directed learning in the classroom and across content areas to deepen student understanding and mastery. We will look at the benefits of student directed learning, deeper questioning and effective research in the classroom. Using inquiry-based learning along with Genius Hour techniques, you will be introduced to the practical aspects of implementing student-directed anchor activities including timelines, research guidelines, assessment and examples from several grade levels and content areas.
