Liz is a former elementary school librarian, now studying full-time for a PhD in Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina. She teaches courses in Children's Literature and is conducting research on how libraries, cultural institutions, and other community groups contribute to positive attitudes towards technology and STEAM professions, particularly in girls. Other interests include diversity in children's books and intellectual freedom.
