Suzanne Sannwald

School Librarian, West Hills High School

Suzanne Sannwald is in her third year of serving as the school librarian at West Hills High School in the Grossmont Union High School District, in San Diego’s East County region. Hired under an Emergency Teacher Librarian credential, she enrolled in San Jose State University’s School of Information online program, completing the credential requirements in summer 2016; she  expects to earn an MLIS in spring 2017. Suzanne is an ALA Spectrum Scholar who copresented at the California School Library Association (CSLA) 2016 Annual Conference and San Diego Computer Using Educators 2016 Tech Fair. Recently, her article  on virtual makerspaces was published in the CSLA Newsletter, and her approach to library orientations was featured in Joyce Valenza’s NeverEnding
