Chris M. Young

School Librarian, Metairie Park Country Day School

Chris M. Young taught middle school math and science in Los Angeles and New Orleans public schools for ten years before becoming a school librarian in 2011. He spent three years as a PreK-8 librarian at Edward Hynes Charter School in New Orleans and is now in his fifth year as the Middle and Upper School Librarian at Metairie Park Country Day School. Chris is entering his second year as a member of AASL's Best Apps for Teaching & Learning Committee and is currently the chair of the Publicity Committee for the Louisiana Association of School Librarians. He writes about news literacy, news history, and source evaluation on his blog, The Cardigan Papers.
