Rebecca J. Morris is Teaching Associate Professor, University of Pittsburgh. Recent scholarship includes chapters and articles on teen access to library services in the pandemic, digital storytelling, and research methods in school librarianship. Publications include School Library Research, Knowledge Quest, School Libraries Worldwide, Teacher Librarian, and Journal of Research on Libraries and Young Adults. Dr. Morris authored School Libraries and Student Learning: A Guide for School Leaders (Harvard Education Publishing Group, 2015). She serves as Co-Editor of School Library Connection. Professional service includes AASL-CAEP Accreditation Committee, Educators of School Librarians Section Community of Scholars, YALSA Frances Henne Research Grant Jury Chair, ALISE Pratt-Severn Faculty Innovation Award Committee Chair, and review boards of School Library Research (2018-2020) and JRYLA (2016-2018). A former elementary teacher and middle school librarian, Dr. Morris earned a MLIS and PhD at the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Elementary and Kindergarten Education at Penn State.
