Rebecca Morris, PhD is an adjunct professor in school librarianship and instructional technology and a former LIS faculty member at University of North Carolina-Greensboro and Simmons College. She is Library in Context Editor at School Library Connection, published by ABC-CLIO. Publications include the book, School Libraries and Student Learning: A Guide for School Leaders (Harvard Education Publishing Group, 2015); chapters in Global Action on School Library Education and Training (IFLA/DeGruyter Saur, 2018) and Engaging Teens with Story (Libraries Unlimited, 2017); and articles in School Library Research, Knowledge Quest, School Libraries Worldwide, Teacher Librarian, and the Journal of Research on Young Adults in Libraries. Rebecca earned her MLIS and PhD at the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in elementary education at the Pennsylvania State University. Previous professional experiences include first grade teacher and middle school librarian. Current service includes AASL Induction Implementation Task Force and School Library Research Review Board. Rebecca lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband and two daughters.
