Amie Wright

Graduate Student, Concordia University

Currently, Amie is a MA History graduate student at Concordia University in Montreal studying comic books as cultural lenses and historical documents focusing on public history and enhanced contextualization with museum and library collections. Amie is the former School Outreach Manager at the New York Public Library and a recipient of Library Journal Mover and Shaker Award in 2017. Amie is an Organizing Team Member of the American Library Association’s Graphic Novels and Comics Round Table (GNCRT) and currently serves as the Co-Chair of Convention Planning. In Oct 2017 Amie and NYPL colleague Emily Drew created NYCC @ NYPL featuring over 30+ panels of professional panels in a single day for New York Comic Con. Amie has spoken widely about building educational and comic collections for the classroom, including as a panelist at Emerald City Comic Con, San Diego Comic Con, and C2E2, and as a keynote speaker for EBMA 2017 / 2019 and the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) Librarian & Educator Day.
