Jennifer Nitz has been an educator for over 20 years, and more than half has been spent in the library, first as a school librarian, and then as the district technical librarian. Jennifer manages software for the 60 libraries in her district in northwest Louisiana. She also visits all 60 libraries to help both new and experienced librarians with facilities, lessons, and information literacy. Jennifer has presented at local, state and national conventions. She is always ready with her elevator speech about the importance of librarians. Jennifer believes that the library is the heart of the school, and as such, the librarian is the heartbeat of the student body.
