Teacher-Librarian, Wright City High School
Jamie A. Becker is the Teacher-Librarian at Wright City High School in Wright City, Missouri. Now in her fourth year at WCHS, she continues to change and grow what the Library Learning Commons means for WCHS. Prior to coming to Wright City, she worked two years as an elementary librarian in Ferguson, Missouri. Her research interests include collaboration with teachers, student choice in reading in the classroom (particularly high school aged students), genrefication of the school library, and the expanding and changing role of the school teacher-librarian, as well as how they are perceived by staff, students, and administration. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Missouri, a Master of Arts in Education from Lindenwood University, a Post-Baccalaureate in Elementary Education from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University. She is a 2020 ALA Emerging Leader.
